Dear Debbie, Alex, Richard and Tenson,

Just to say thank you to all of you for the very happy time we spent at Cranford. Tarryn and Isaac's wedding was quite wonderful, every moment perfect.
Our family all had the best time with you, the grandchildren are all still bubbling about what they did and saw, being able just to run free was a huge privilege.
Thank you also for our extra few days and for looking after us so well. George and I so enjoyed a very relaxed, special time meandering. He had arrived back from
Laussane the day we flew up to Durbs, and two days after returning home left for Moscow, so for him a great switch off.

We do hope one day to return to your most beautiful Cranford.

Hi dear Debbie and Alex, Tenson and all the wonderful staff,

I cannot believe I have left this very BIG THANK YOU so long.

What a wonderful wedding day, despite the little bit of rain, everything went without a single hitch - thanks to your team. You made everything happen without us having to stress one little bit, thank you thank you. And Tenson having to put up with the "happy caddies" wanting to take over the bar, you did a wonderful job keeping everything going so smoothly .

The food, planning, setting etc etc was simply the best, we have had comments from so many people saying it was such a wonderful, friendly happy wedding,

I think the Boma the night before the wedding was such a good idea, broke the ice and at least 50 people got to meet each other!!

The video has come out so well, Nicki started with the beautiful entrance to Cranford with the mare and foal in the paddock. The photographer, Bernine loved the setting so much, she has taken stacks of photos of the scenery, we look forward to still seeing all her pictures.

Jane is busy packing up their home in the UK and will be out here at the beginning of April, Michael is in America, Miami, I think having a week off on the beach!!! Will be good to have them based at home again. After the wedding at least another three couples from UK decided Africa isn't too bad so are planning to return as soon as they can get organized.

Hope you are all well and keeping up the good work. Debbie, your meringues were amazing, one of my favourite. In fact everything was wonderful, thank you all so much for all the work and effort put into making the day so special and stress free.

Take good care and we will keep in touch and certainly pop in when ever up your way - we also have room if ever you need a bed in Durban.

Hi there the Blackburn Family!

Firstly; let me say how impressed we were with the way we were greeted and treated on our arrival, taken straight to our accomodation by the lovely and efficient Alex! very nice and clean it was too.

As for the Wedding arrangements, Well; everything from the pebbles in the Chapel to the Booze in the Barn!! was so well thought out and carefully appointed to the last detail we feel deserved a special mention, again we understand that Alex was again to blame for this! 

However: lets not take anything away from Holly, Mrs Blackburn, Tenson, the unsung heroes like your very efficient and capable Chef and kitchen staff! even your guys that manned the Bar during our unruly evening.

A huge thankyou for making Nicky and Rons Wedding the success it was, we as we are sure many others felt the same way, THANKYOU.

We look forward to the time we can come to you again and spend some quality time among quality people! 

and enjoy the peace and tranquility that is Cranford Country Lodge!

Craig and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day so incredibly special, unique, and soooo much fun! Cranford has such a warmth and welcoming atmosphere, and ALL our guests have commented on what a wonderful day and weekend it was. You were all (your staff included!) so efficient, attentive and really put your hearts into creating a day that will be remembered with such joy by all of us. We would love to just rewind the clock a hundred times over and have that day again!
Words really cannot explain how much Cranford and all of you mean to us, and how special we felt on that day! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dear Alex, Debbie and Richard,

Our family owes you a debt of gratitude for making our weekend spent at Cranford to celebrate the wedding of Vlad and Julie such a truly special occasion.

I recall our first visit to "size up" Cranford and having the "gut feeling" that it was just right - that feeling did not let me or our family and friends down and you truly did us all proud. From the moment we arrived to our departure on the Sunday, we each were made to feel that Cranford was our home for the weekend and all we had to concentrate on was getting Julie calm enough to get married and all of us having a good time in the process. Your wisdom and guidance with the planning was invaluable and came to a climax as I walked my daughter down the aisle of your charming chapel at the lakeside - it simply could not have been a more fitting surrounding for Vlad and Julie to make their vows to each other. The afternoon break in the lapa by the bottom dam was a perfect interlude and nobody could say that they went hungry after the delicious canapés came round ! The barn felt like it was made for our reception party and your preparations, the warmth of the log fires and your friendly staff set the scene for the outstanding meal that you prepared for us - each dish was perfect - in the run-up to the wedding you had talked us through what you would do for each course and they all exceeded our expectations. The ingredient quality, the preparation, the presentation and getting us all eating at the same time - you hit the right buttons! So much so, nobody wanted the party to end but as it did there was just so much warmth and appreciation and wonderful comment from all that shared the evening with us that Sue and I were overwhelmed - someone said "how can there be another wedding after this one ?"

One of the qualities that sets you apart from other venues is that we had you personally with us each step of the way although this in no way detracts but rather supports your great staff and our thanks go to them all. I know he is not staff but I must make mention of how impressed I was with the easy and friendly manner of "farmer" Alex at the lapa and behind the bar in the barn - thanks also to him.

Another point that deserves mention on a personal note with myself is the principled and business-like manner with which the account was handled - you costed your service at the outset, we settled on the numbers and the options and that is what I was asked to pay - no hidden extras that one often fears in this modern world!

Finally, I wish you every success with Cranford for the future and I and my family thank you sincerely for everything that you did for us.

Everyone raved about the wedding and said it was the best they'd been to!! The food was amazing and every meal served hot too which is rare these days!! Well done!!

Dear Richard, Debbie & Alex,

Thank you so much for making Dan and Renee's wedding day so special.  We truly appreciate all you did and how you went out of your way to make it all run smoothly.  We have had such positive feedback from our friends about the wonderful venue, food and friendly staff at Cranford.  The younger crowd had a ball and enjoyed every minute of the day and I hope they didn't make too much noise and go on too late!!!  It's not often that we have all our five children in one place.

Although we had our little hiccups (?) we got through them and are able to smile about them now!!!

Dolla and I are feeling a little deflated as everyone has left for their respective countries and Dan and Renee left today for Mauritius.  We are looking forward to them returning next Tuesday for a couple of days before they head back to New Zealand.
